Video artist Chris Cunningham, renowned for his work with Aphex Twin and Björk among others, will present a “dramatic” new audio-visual show on three April live dates.

Supported by Beak> (all dates), Lonelady (Manchester), Tom Jenkinson (Squarepusher DJ set) (London) and Jackson (Brighton), Cunningham (pictured above with Grace Jones) will perform at Brighton Dome (April 19) Manchester Opera House (April 22) and London’s

Royal Festival Hall (part of Ether Festival, April 23).

Cunningham, whose Grammy-nominated video for the Björk’s All is Love can still be seen in New York’s Museum of Modern Art, is reportedly working on some “very special” material to be released by Warp Records in the not too distant future. Influenced by sci-fi, horror and largely synthesizer-oriented work from the likes of Tomita, Vangelis and Kraftwerk, Cunningham has been increasingly musically active of late, assisting with the production of The Horrors’ Primary Colours LP. Most recently he collaborated with Donna Summer for Gucci, creating a new vocal for ‘I Feel Love’, which won a Golden Lion at Cannes.

Having served an apprenticeship of sorts with Hellraiser director Clive Barker, Cunningham went on to work with Stanley Kubrick, and in addition to his various acclaimed promo work, Cunningham is the creator of Rubber Johnny (2005), a Warp-released experimental film that was soundtracked by AFX, and has produced installations for the Royal Academy and the Anthony d’Offay Gallery.  For his imminent live dates, Cunningham will present a live multimedia AV show featuring remixed, unreleased and brand new videos and music.
