Kompakt have revealed the tracklist and release date for the latest installment in their annual Pop Ambient compilation series.

Pop Ambient 2011 will be released on January 31, and is comprised of 12 new tracks. As usual the core contributors are Kompakt regulars – Wolfgang Voigt (pictured), Marsen Jules, Jürgen Paape, Mikkel Metal, Triola and Thomas Fehlmann – with a number of special guests filling in the blanks.

Newcomers include ANBB, the duo of Carsten ‘Alva Noto’ Nicolai and Einstürzende Neubauten’s Blixa Bargeld, and Bhutan Tiger Rescue, a new collaborative project from Ewan Pearson and up-and-coming Bristol producer October. Bvdub makes a welcome return following his series debut on Pop Ambient 2010.
