UK house and techno’s foremost astronaut Space Dimension Controller headlines this party at a secret East London warehouse (how many times do you reckon you heard that phrase in 2010?), with more than ample support coming from xxxy and Pariah in Room 1. Room 2 is headlined by Ben Westbeech in his flute-loving Breach guise.

BUGGED OUT NEW YEAR’S EVE

XOYO team up with Bugged Out for their bash, leading with a 3-hour set from The 2 Bears (Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Raf Daddy), plus Night Slugs’ L-Vis 1990, Southern Fried’s Nathan Detroit, Disco Bloodbath and more.

THE BUNKER LIMITED NEW YEAR’S EVE
Public Assembly Loft, Brooklyn, NY, $30
The guys from Brooklyn’s premier techno cabal The Bunker take over Public Assembly’s Loft once again, inviting over Amsterdam’s Jochem Peteri aka Newworldaquarium to bring in the New Year with his brand of shimmering, psychedelic house music. DJ’s DJ Mike Servito is the other headliner, with Spinoza and Eric Cloutier lending support.

CABLE PRESENTS FASTER NYE

No nonsense from the Cable for NYE, with drum’n’bass and dubstep heavily represented by Friction, Rockwell, Youngsta, Spectra:soul, Marcus Intalex, dBridge and many more. Perhaps most intriguingly though, grime legend DJ Wonder will be playing a ’00-’06 grime set in Room 3, where Geeneus headlines.

With 7 arenas of bass-heavy music catering to 4,000 punters, this is an epic alright: Pearson Sound, Ms Dynamite, Toddla T, Hudson Mohawke, Breakage and dBridge lead the charge.

Classy house, techno and beyond – as per usual – from Eastern Electrics, with top billing going to Mount Kimbie (live), Laurent Garnier, Anja Schneider and Tensnake.

Floating Points’ Plastic People residency usually sees him play back-to-back with another DJ all night (past guests have included Matthew Herbert, Four Tet and Caribou); this New Years’ Eve party is no different, and finds him going round for round with Detroit badman Marcellus Pittman through til 6am.

Bristol’s In:Motion go straight for the jugular for their New Year’s dance, calling upon the services of High Contrast, Shy FX, Redlight, Visionquest and Tensnake to usher in 2012 in jump-up jungle, house and techno style.

Urban Nerds and Basslaced team up to present a head to head between two of the UK’s best labels: music comes from Loefah, Jackmaster b2b Oneman, Deadboy, Pinch, Redinho, Boddika, Spencer and MC Chunky.
