After the success of the super-naff ‘I Don’t Feel Like Dancin” single, pop juggernaut Scissor Sisters seem to have invested time and energy in reclaiming some semblance of ‘edge’.

Their Night Works front cover made a strong visual statement, and now the band appear to be following suit musically. According to The Guardian, the band have lined-up a voguish roster of collaborators for their upcoming fourth LP Magic Hour.

Diplo, no stranger to capital-P pop collabs after that Nicola Roberts track, will contribute material to the record. Pharrell Williams also features, as does Azealia Banks under her ‘Krystal Pepsy’ alias. There are still some fairly on-message collaborators – we’re looking at you, Calvin Harris – but the hipper team-ups may well turn out something of interest.

Magic Hour is due out on May 28.
