Considering his voluminous discography, Steven Stapleton’s endlessly mutating Nurse With Wound project has been relatively quiet of late.

Nurse With Wound’s last full-length was 2010’s Erroneous: A Selection Of Errors, a joint project with experimental Italian combo Larsen. Continuing that album’s interest in things-gone-wrong, United Jnana have just released a rarities collection titled Creakiness And Other Misdemeanours.

The album contains NWW’s elusive 1991 album Creakiness, a split-LP with UK post-punkers Spasm. For an avant-rock record, Creakiness is fairly merry: the label describes a “a five-part dada-esque mix of samples from Warner Brothers cartoons, car horns, game show buzzers and other sounds”. The ‘Other Misdemeanours’ of the title are: a 2005 7-inch titled ‘Mona Twisted’/’Twisted Mona’ ; the lengthy ‘Little Dipper Minus Two’, from the same year; and 2004’s ‘A Perfectly Natural Explanation.

Creakiness And Other Misdemeanours is available now via United Jnana.

Tracklist:
1. Creakiness
2. Mona Twisted
3. Twisted Mona
4. Little Dipper Minus Two (Echo Poeme Sequence 1)
5. A Perfectly Natural Explanation.
