Blawan’s really churning ’em out right now.

The Barnsley-hailing producer hit on a rich vein of form last year, expanding on his 2010 Hessle Audio debut with a pair of storming singles on R&S (‘Bohla’, ‘What You Do With What You Have’) and the white label smash ‘Getting Me Down’, before closing the year with a slew of rampaging, more overtly techno records – one solo, others in collaboration with Pariah (as Karenn) and Analogue Cops.

There are a few new Blawan releases in the pipeline right now: a vinyl double-pack for R&S has already been openly talked about, while Blawan and Analogue Cops have a white label single due on their new collaborative label, Parassela. He’s also contributed to a forthcoming compilation by shadowy techno label Frozen Border.

We now have concrete details on another new release – this time an EP for German label Black Sun, who’ve housed music from Sunil Sharpe and more in the past. Blawan has a new four-track EP forthcoming on the label, with the release date tentatively scheduled for the end of this month. All four tracks are new originals, and feature some fantastic titles in ‘Scarborough Harbor’, ‘Grafter Gets a Home’, ‘Breathe them Knees In’ and ‘6 to 6 Lick’ [via Blawan’s Twitter].

There’s also been a new Blawan track doing the rounds on our good friend the internet. ‘Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage’ won’t be on the Black Sun release, but according to Blawan, will see release soon. You can stream a radio rip of it below, and check Blawan’s recent Boiler Room set here.
