After Arthur Baker’s ‘Planet Rock,’ music would never be the same. Or as Felix Da Housecat so eloquently puts it in this clip, “the 808 changed the motherfuckin’ world.” Baker and Felix Da Housecat are joined by an all-star cast of talking heads that includes Questlove, Diplo, and Fatboy Slim, among others.

Coming in 2013, Planet Rock and Other Tales of the 808 promises to be the definitive tale of the drum machine that continues to define hip hop, techno, and everything in between. Subwoofers not included.
