Hivern Disc, the Barcelona imprint helmed by marathon man John Talabot, is releasing its second edits disc of the year.

Hivern Disc have notched up some lovely releases this year: Aster’s excellent ‘Danza’ 12″ and the Hivern Jacking Tapes Vol. 1 digital bundle both did the fuzzy analogue business. The Hiverned 10″ edit series, meanwhile, began last year, and featured a Talabot remix of cobwebbed boogie cut ‘Party Girl’ on the A side and a Marc Piñol edit on the flip. As Juno Plus report, the series will continue with another two-track disc of nifty remixes.

‘Invitation To Love’, credited to the enigmatic TB, revamps Angelo Badalamenti’s instantly recognisable ‘Laura Palmer’s Theme’. The track’s been percolating around for a little while, appearing in Talabot’s DJ sets for some time and recently cropping up on IceeHot’s grand LuckyMe mixtape. Aficionados of Lynch’s 1990 masterpiece will recognise the title: it’s the name of the soap-within-a-soap which the characters occasionally watch throughout the first series. As before, Marc Piñol looks after the B side, revamping ” lost Australian minimal-wave track” ‘Arrebato’.

The thoroughly limited Hiverned#2 will arrive next month, housed in a special handmade silk screened sleeve.
