The Astro Travellin’ savant returns.

It might not be the brand new full-length we were all hoping for, but we’re okay with making do in the meantime. A collection of rarities and unreleased gems, the most striking part of the release is that it will come bundled with some typically excellent artwork. The cover itself is particularly smart, featuring a large picture of the cuddly alien Lord Quas himself which can be peeled back to reveal his insides.

With twelve tracks on the main album, the LP version comes with an additional 7″ of ‘Hittin’ Hooks’ and ‘Microphone Mathematics Remix’ – nice to know Madlib hasn’t forgotten about the vinyl junkies out there. [via Pitchfork]
