Watch Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky and Miguel perform at Made In America

No Obama this time, we’re afraid.

The second instalment of Jay-Z’s Philly-based Made In America festival took place over the weekend, and attracted the sort of big-league bill you’d expect from contemporary music’s networker-in-chief. The line-up tilted towards hard rock (QOTSA, NIN), radio-friendly dance fare (Calvin Harris, AlunaGeorge), Beyonce (Beyonce) and a smattering of big rap and R&B names. A trifecta of highlights is below.

Kendrick Lamar tends to be a reliable festival bet, actually giving a half a shit about being there. His Good Kid, m.A.A.d City-heavy set is the pick of the available footage, although the rifftastic live band set-up arguably sucks a little out of the arrangements.

A$AP Rocky is another bundle of energy, zipping through a collection of Long.Live.A$AP cuts and cranking his high-wattage star quality up to the max.

Miguel’s afternoon set is a particularly exuberant set, with the California native in full voice and fine fettle, and a selection of Kaleidoscope Dream tracks getting a convincing live work-through.
