Brian Wilson worked with Frank Ocean, Lana Del Rey and more on new album

More details emerge about the new album from the erstwhile Beach Boy.

Last summer, Brian Wilson announced plans to work with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck and fellow ex-Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks. The album was to be the follow-up to 2008′s That Lucky Old Sun, but Beck has said that the group “left the studio with half-finished tracks — three, four tracks [that are] still unfinished.”

Now, Rolling Stone reports that Wilson has worked on ‘Last Song’ with Lana Del Rey, ‘On The Island’ with singer/actress Zooey Deschanel, ‘Sharing A New Day’ with country upstart Kacey Musgraves, and ‘Special Love’, which “potentially” features Frank Ocean.

“This project blows my mind,” Wilson says. “I had no idea we could pull this off!” While the collaborations are described as “songs in contention” for the album by Rolling Stone, Wilson’s website has run the blurb under the headline “Rolling Stone reveals guest artists for Brian’s upcoming album.”
