FACT is looking for a Social Media Editor.

Tweet in your sleep? Facebook know your personal life before you do? Maximize your advertising budget like a hyper-targeting ninja?

We’re looking for a US based Social Media Editor, ideally in the PST time zone, to support our UK based Social Media Editor and our full-time global editorial team. If you think you’ve got what it takes, please read the requirements below and apply here.

Requirements:

Creative, multi-tasking self-starter and able to work remotely while tying in to the rest of our global team.
Results driven
Know how to significantly increase our targeted following across all our social channels globally while keeping our current readership engaged
Understand and be able to communicate in our brand tone of voice
Be passionate about music, particularly the kind of music we cover
Be able to analyse campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media campaigns
Demonstrate daily interest in using social media to build relationships and develop an audience
Be a forward-thinking problem solver, not shilling yesterday’s hackneyed advice as gospel: this includes being willing to pivot when necessary and not just following the same course every day
Be passionate about music, actively keep up with music and the music industry: reading music publications, attending gigs and festivals
Have an intuitive sense of what stories do well on social and how to source them before anyone else does

Responsibilities:

Setting and executing an effective, ambitious but realistic social media strategy
Grow our following and engagement levels on each network whilst driving social media sourced traffic back to FACT.
Monitor and grow Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest presence and engagement, whilst also driving social media sourced traffic back to FACT
Use social media as a source for interesting content and news
Own day-to-day activities for the PST time zone
Follow our content calendar and work closely with our global editorial team and UK based Social Media Editor
Work closely with editorial team to plan social strategy for upcoming events and festivals
Measure and study effectiveness of social media strategy across platforms

Experience using the Facebook and Twitter advertising platforms in the most cost effective and granular way possible to increase social engagement and drive traffic
