Electro-punk duo ADULT. will house six musicians at their Detroit home to work on a collaborative LP.

The Detroit House Guests project involves six musicians who will join the two at their Michigan residence over the next seven months. The residents will create a new album for Ghostly International, scheduled to be released in late 2015 or early 2016.

The musicians invited to participate in the project are Dorit Chrysler (NY Theremin Society), Shannon Funchess (LIGHT ASYLUM), Michael Gira (SWANS, Young God Records), Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe (Lichens), Douglas J. McCarthy (Nitzer Ebb, Fixmer/McCarthy), and Lun*na Menoh (Les Sewing Sisters, Jean Paul Yamamoto).

According to the duo, the project “will provide a rich experience for each musician and will bring favorable attention to Detroit and its cultural heritage.”

Detroit House Guests has been sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. You can watch a video on the project below.
