The former RØSENKØPF member moves forward and embraces solo production.
Soren Roi, one of the key minds behind the Brooklyn event Nothing Changes, will release his new album, Flood Out, later this month, but today you can hear the title track. ‘Flood Out’ begins with nearly two minutes of minimal darkness before snapping into a tightly wound synth workout with a slasher movie’s flair. ‘Flood Out’ could have glided along at this point, but it’s to Roi’s credit that he takes it a step further. The final section finds him moving past those sinister vibes and introducing a gentler, softer melody. It’s not just a great track, with Roi at the helm, it’s a whole journey.
