To celebrate international Women’s Day and the opening of her retrospective exhibition at MoMA, BBC Radio 6 Music has put together an illuminating documentary on Björk

Presented by Miranda Sawyer, the hour-long programme is titled Army of Me: Björk Now and charts Björk’s rise as one of the most distinctive, successful and iconic female artists of our time.

The programme finds Björk discussing her working methods, the meanings behind her distinctive album art and the creative process that drove her latest album, Vulnicura.

The programme also contains an excerpt from the augmented audio guide for Songlines, an interactive location-based audio experience featuring 3D binaural sound. This piece is part of the Björk exhibition currently showing at New York’s MoMA.

You can listen to Army of Me: Björk Now via BBC iPlayer.
