The footwork sleazeball(s) return.

Patrice & Friends emerged at the top of the decade, bringing ’80s funk and boogie up to footwork tempos with equally-nostalgic video clips. A project by new-school grime godfather Slackk, Patrice & Friends have released a handful of albums, always with hedonistic titles (Cashmere Sheets, Champagne Saunas, Cherry Sorbet, Cognac Snow).

It’s Not Often may have a comparatively-muted title, but it provides the same type of sped-up soul that we’ve come to expect from the project. Stream/download it via BandCamp; it’s a pay-what-you-want-release.
