Kanye West lasted only 13 minutes on stage at the the Pan Am Games closing ceremony in Toronto last night.

Video footage shows ‘Ye hurling his microphone into the air, causing it to smash on the ground before walking off the stage.

Up to that point he’d played medley set of ‘Stronger’, ‘Power’, ‘Black Skinhead’, ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’, ‘Touch The Sky’, ‘The Good Life’ and ‘All Of The Lights’.

The organisers of the event haven’t made a public statement about what happened, but reports suggest that technical difficulties with the mic prompted him to abandon the set.

Kanye was headlining a two-hour ceremony at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, which also featured Pitbull and Serena Ryder, to mark the end of the Pan Am Games. He’s had bad luck on stage in recent weeks, with comedian Lee Nelson managing to invade his Glastonbury headline set armed with only an Argos microphone. [via NME]
