The unlikely trio make a racket on ‘Tough Towns’.

Faith No More’s Mike Patton, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and Anticon co-founder DoseOne have teamed up as Nevermen for a 10-track album coming later this year on Lex Records and Patton’s Ipecac Recordings.

The first track is the densely detailed ‘Tough Towns’, a track that genuinely does sound like a meeting of minds, with elements of rock and hip-hop coalescing in unexpected ways. Doseone, aka Adam Drucker, says it’s dedicated to “anyone remotely young, feeling inexplicably inspired in the ‘nowhere’ they are from. May you soon escape with style into elsewhere.”

The Nevermen collaboration has been in the works since around 2008 and sees each member taking an equal share of vocal and production work, while the unofficial fourth Neverman is Turner Prize winner Keith Tyson, who has designed the album’s sleeve.
