Big Boi and friends reminisce on Atlanta’s duo boundary-breaking album.

While we wait for a possible Outkast biopic, MTV has just released a short documentary looking at the group’s groundbreaking fourth album, 2000’s Stankonia.

Named after the studio Outkast had purchased, Stankonia was a visually and sonically arresting piece of work.

This recent documentary sees Outkast’s Big Boi, Cee Lo, T.I, and Awful Records’ Father, among others, share memories of the album from the production process to how the videos painted previously unseen portraits of some of the south’s grittiest areas.

The ten-minute long walk down memory lane also features previously unseen footage of the duo in the Stankonia studios.
