Sigur Rós have announced the full dates for their world spanning 2016 tour with some unique conditions.

The iconic post-rock band will road-test new material from their next project before recording while on tour this year, something they haven’t done since developing 2002’s ( ) on the tour for Ágætis Byrjun. Rather than feature an opening act, the band will perform two sets separated by an intermission. The performances will also not feature any of the string or brass sections the band has become known for playing with.

“All we can say right now is it’s going to be different, with new unreleased songs, a new show and maybe some other *new* things,” the band said in a statement on their website. “Beyond that, we can only ask you to trust us on this one.”
