The network reveals series pick-ups and pilots.

Rapper Open Mike Eagle and musician/comedian Reggie Watts both are getting TV shows on Comedy Central, Deadline reports.

Eagle will head The New Negroes, a series combining music and stand-up comedy adapted from his live show with comedian Baron Vaughn (who you may recognize as the voice of Tom Servo on Netflix’s recently revived Mystery Science Theater 3000).

“[The show] taps into something that is so real and vital,” Comedy Central president Kent Alterman told the publication. “It’s tapping into black comedy while presenting multiple points of view and different angles on material and performances that is reflective of the world we are living in.”

Reggie Watts will host an American adaptation of the UK gameshow Taskmaster, which features a rotating panel of comedians forced into bizarre challenges.

The network has also ordered several pilots, including one by comedy rapper Awkwafina and Chappelle’s Show co-creator Neal Brennan.
