Our number one horror soundtrack of all time.

Goblin’s phenomenal soundtrack for Dario Argento’s 1977 Italian horror masterpiece Suspiria is getting a reissue to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

As Pitchfork reports, two box sets will be available – a standard edition and a limited edition – both featuring reproductions of the original soundtrack on vinyl, a 10″ clear red LP with unreleased tracks, along with a CD and DVD set containing bonus tracks, a documentary with Argento and Goblin interviews.

Two 64-page books (in Italian and English) with a Suspiria analysis by author Fabio Capuzzo will also accompany the reissue, while the limited edition version, which is limited to 150 copies, also comes with a handcrafted peacock feather design (a hat-tip to the movie).

Both box sets are out on Halloween (October 31, in case you need reminding).
