Jessicka Addams, lead singer of riot-goth band Jack Off Jill, has spoken out about the allegations.

Marilyn Manson’s longtime bassist Twiggy Ramirez (né Jeordie White) has been accused of rape and psychological and physical abuse by his ex-girlfriend, Jack Off Jill singer Jessicka Addams.

Writing in a Facebook post yesterday (October 20), Addams characterizes her relationship with White as being increasingly abusive and recalled a time he allegedly raped her during a tour break from supporting Nine Inch Nails.

According to the statement, Addams began dating White in the ‘90s when she was 18. “I have lived with the overwhelming shame and guilt of being raped for well over 20 years now,” said Addams, writing that she “unknowingly hid an abusive relationship in a most unhealthy way.”

White allegedly visited Addams at their friend Pete’s home during a tour break from opening for Nine Inch Nails. “He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck,” she wrote. “I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved.”

Addams alluded to White’s alleged abusive behavior in an interview with Alternative Press in 2015. She says that following the interview, she “began to receive an enormous amount of emails of support and love,” with a number of women sharing similar “horror stories,” some of which involved White. “I was not the only one who was a victim of my rapist. Others had also been abused by the man I was referencing,” she wrote.

Explaining her decision to finally come forward with the allegations, Addams said: “In 1997, I was warned by my band’s record company that if I revealed my story publicly, there would be a very good chance that my band could be black balled by concert promoters, radio programmers, and other bands and their managers,” adding that they were also warned of the risk of losing their record deal.

She continued: “For women to own our power we must stand up for each other. It’s the only way we can confront and combat men who think they hold power over us.” Read Addams’ full statement below.

Marilyn Manson has issued a statement to Consequence of Sound about the accusations. “I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend,” said Manson. “I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka’s obvious distress.”

White has yet to make a statement regarding the allegations.
