Today’s Daily Download is the work of cult pop experimentalists A Sunny Day In Glasgow.

Following the release of the limited edition clear vinyl Nitetime Rainbows EP earlier this month, the band are gearing up to release a new album on April 26. An expert but not over-cooked mix of influences from C86, shoegaze and electronic music, ASDIG’s sound is maturing at an incredible rate, and all the signs suggest that the LP is going to be among the year’s best.

To tide you over until its release, here’s a track entitled ‘Sigh Inhibitionist’. It starts off innocuously enough, but as the clock rolls on layers of vocal harmonies, synth-washes and jabbing electronic bass contrive to dizzy and delight. If you’re into Stereolab, MBV or M83, give it a whirl.
