Concertgoers must earn entry to Global Festival by taking action to fight poverty.

Global Festival takes place on September 29 in New York City’s Central Park and will feature the Black Keys, Foo Fighters, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Band of Horses, and K’Naan. But in lieu of purchasing tickets, entry can be earned by gaining points awarded for charitable acts performed through the Global Citizen website.

Points can be earned by posting information on social media, donating money to charity or signing a petition. Organizers hope fans will take 100,000 actions by September: the overall goal is “to raise $500 million in practical solutions by leveraging commitments from the world’s leaders while they’re in New York,” according to the AP. The efforts coincide with a meeting of the United Nations in New York.
