Chicago's King Louie drops new mixtape Tony

The drill pioneer returns with his first mixtape of 2014.

King Louie celebrated Independence Day by dropping Tony, the follow-up to December’s Drilluminati 2 mixtape.

The 15 tracks are mostly of the dark, brooding and slow-as-treacle variety (with the exception of the appealing throwback bump of ‘Ambitions As A Rider’), with production from Bobby Johnson, who repurposes the ominous thunder of his famous self-titled beat on ‘Day’ plus Leekeleek, C. Sick and more. Guest verses come from Chi Hoover and Slitta.

Download it via Livemixtapes.

Louie’s Autotune-enhanced Jeep Music was one of our favourite mixtapes of last year – so much so that we gave it a slot in FACT’s Best Albums of 2013.
