The Mayor offers to throw a block party with the rapper to benefit youth.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has addressed Kanye West’s Webster Hall show last night after its cancellation due to severe over-crowding. Though police didn’t allow Kanye’s surprise back-up show following the cancellation of his headlining day at Governor’s Ball due to weather, the mayor has an alternative plan.

“Great block parties are planned,” the Mayor tweeted at West and Kim Kardashian, before offering “[First Lady of New York] Chirlane & I can throw one w/ you to benefit NYC kids”.

West has yet to respond, but we’re not surprised with how busy he is. Migos revealed to Entertainment Weekly that they have “multiple” songs finished with West. In addition to continuing work on his next album, he also recently announced the long-awaited G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Winter.
