“The image of our president …. it affects the worldview of us.”

RZA has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. His reason is based on how a president represents the country’s image overseas, something he believes will be far more positive with Clinton.

“I’ve been traveling the world from [Bill] Clinton to Bush to Barack Obama, right? And when I was going around the world during Clinton, the party was good, people came in and paid for the tickets, I wasn’t mad, room service was good, the restaurant treatment was good. When I traveled the world during Bush, people was hating on me,” he told The Daily Beast, saying he felt other countries warmed up to Americans again with Obama at the helm.

He cited the importance of America as “a guiding light” and how electing a black man President “fulfilled what the principles of our country are”. Now he thinks a female president would be another move in the right direction.

“It would be very unique for us to do it with a woman, because that follows the principles of what we are saying this country is,” he said.

RZA is currently promoting his collaborative project with Paul Banks and has begun work on a videogame-inspired album in collaboration with Atari. Meanwhile, fellow Hillary supporter Ghostface Killah revealed he will take the lead on the next Wu album.
