Fabriclive will no longer be a weekly event.

Fabric is set to reopen its doors on January 6 not only with a stricter entry policy, but a change to their regular programming.

In a blog post, the club announced Fabriclive, the Friday night party dedicated to grime, drum & bass and dubstep will now be relegated to the last Friday of every month, opening up the rest of the schedule for “a new series of one-off standout shows and curated events”. The regular house and techno night on Saturdays will remain on the schedule.

Fabric had a tumultuous 2016, facing a license suspension in August after holding its own investigation into two drug-related deaths in the club before having it revoked in September after a lengthy hearing with Islington Council. The club was set for an appeals hearing last month at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, but struck a deal with Islington Council and the Metropolitan Police a week before the court date.
