As the week draws to a close, we at FACT aren’t quite ready to relax yet: there’s the small matter of our epic party at Cable tonight to keep us occupied.

If you’ve not already bought your tickets, get ’em now to avoid disappointment. Joining for us our two-room all-nighter are some of the most exciting names in contemporary club music. In Room 1 we welcome two dubstep heavyweights: Digital Mystikz’ Mala playing a 90-minute set and Scuba making his UK live debut. Joining them is Fiedel, Berghain resident and one half of the MMM, bringing his unique brand of grime and funky-inflected warehouse techno to these shores for the first time in an age, bruk-house hero Altered Natives, Infrasonics boss Spatial on a hard-flexing garage tip and the up-and-coming T. Williams of Deep Teknologi. Room 2 is co-hosted by Night Slugs, with Jam City, Bok Bok, Girl Unit and L-Vis 1990, together with Seiji and Subeena, catering for all your party-ruffage needs.

We hardly need to reiterate how massively excited we are about the above. It all goes down 11pm-6am at Cable, which you can find at 33a Holyrood St, London SE1 2EL (nearest tube: London Bridge). See you there.

In addition to getting in a lather about tonight’s party, we also found time this week to interview TBA about her work with Thomas Brinkmann and why she thinks music is wasted on politics, and to pick our Tracks of The Month for May – James Blake, Dadawah and Big Boi are among those who made the cut. Tom Lea brought us The Month In…Bass, including interviews with Guido and Gremino.

On the mix front, Girl Unit – who you can find spinning at Cable tonight, plug plug – smashed up the place with an incredible mix of next-level house, juke and R&B mutations, while Mathew Jonson weighed in with a live set of intricate, expansive techno. Both essential.

It was a good week for news as well: new releases from Matthew Dear, Ghost Box, Salem, DOOM, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, El Guincho, Best Coast and Metro Area. In album reviews, Rene Hell’s Porcelain Opera and Altered Natives’ Tenement Yard came out on top, the latter described as “As tough, as uncompromising, and – most importantly – as fun a House set as you could wish to hear, this summer or any summer.” Sleigh Bells, Nas & Damien Marley and Woebot also scored. In tracks, LV and Josh Idehen bring the characters of the 38 bus to life with “stunning vividity”, Doc Daneeka’s Deadly Rhythm EP was put forward as more evidence of UK dance music’s rude health, and Kavsrave and 8Bitch were both rated.
