Poland’s Avant Art Festival begins today, and has a typically diverse selection of events planned.

The line-up features appearances from Ryoji Ikeda, Supersilent feat. John Paul Jones, Keiji Haino, Stephen O’Malley, Peaches, Forest Swords, Dean Blunt and Haxan Cloak. And it’s not all music either – there’s an extensive film programme showing all sorts of documentaries and music-related films, from synth doc I Dream of Wires to the exploration of punk originators Death A Band Called Death.
