If a synth exists, chances are Sharooz Raoofi has one in his studio.

The London-based producer has amassed a hardware collection most of us could only dream of over his career, during which he has appeared on labels including Modular, Fool’s Gold and Mille Feuilles, and started his own, Principle Pleasure.

Raoofi doesn’t just make music, he also makes software. As co-founder of Sample Magic the producer recently released Bloq, a virtual instrument whose vintage synths and drum machines were captured from his huge personal collection of classic instruments.

FACT TV visited Raoofi at his studio to see his vast archive of gear with our own eyes, where he guided us through everything from his beloved Roland TR-909 drum machine to the rare Korg DW-8000 synthesizer.
