Georgina ‘Drumz of the South’ Cook’s photography is synonymous with the early days of dubstep, and next month London’s LAVA Gallery will be exhibiting her work.

As well as a photo blog, Drumz of the South was also a clubnight that played host to semi-mythical off-piste sets by the likes of Benga. Cook now lives in Paris, but her photos of FWD>> and other early dubstep parties capture an intimate, underground vibe that much of dubstep has since left behind.

The LAVA Gallery can be found in Kingly Court, off Carnaby St; the exhibition opens on February 17 and runs until February 23. There will be an opening party on the first night, with DJ sets by Skipple and Martelo. More information here.
