Q. What links Mensa, the Masons and HEM? A. They’re all elite clubs FACT hopes against hope to get an invite to.

HEM (or Human Ear Music) is a label and self-styled ‘curatorial group’ initially begun by 15 artists in Los Angeles. Now based in Germany, the collective boasts the likes of Julia Holter, Nite Jewel and Ariel Pink among its principal contributors.

Dummy have turned our attention towards a new live album from the organisation. The 18-track set features live performances from all the names mentioned above, plus the likes of William Basinski, Morton Feldman and more. The performances date between 2006-2010. Oneiric pop is the primary order of the day, but it’s a diverse and diverting collection.
