In our recent interview with Baio at Lovebox, he told us we could expect the new video for recent track ‘Sunburn Modern’ to take the title very literally.

The Vampire Weekend bassist recently released his Sunburn EP on Greco-Roman, which featured vocal contributions from Matias Aguayo. ‘Sunburn Modern’ exemplifies Baio’s sunkissed, layered, unfussy sound. The stop-motion clip takes that remit and runs with it: a glamorous shop mannikin heading to the park to catch some rays, and ends up in need of some aloe vera.

Baio himself makes an appearance as a Benjamin Braddock-esque passer-by recruited to get his hands dirty. You can see the first play of the video below. Oh, and noticed what day it is today? The Summer Solstice, of course.
