Following on from his recent EP of plundered library music, French beatmaker Fulgeance is about to drop a new full-length.

Step Thru will arrive on October 15 on rx:tx. As with his definitive 2008 track ‘Low Club Anthem’, ‘Wet’ shows the producer applying electro-house’s sound palette to new ends. Here, those buzzsaw synths and stannic drum pads are applied in the context of head-nod hip-hop. It’s flimsier than Fulgeance’s best work, but fans of Nosaj Thing and Shigeto could do worse than dip their toe in. [via XLR8R]
