Brookyln producer Terekke makes heady, muffled, blunted techno music.

Terekke only has the one release under his belt, last year’s Damn EP for the hip L.I.E.S imprint (previously home to XOSAR and Legowelt). That split was a squelchy, analogue set; the title track was clearly raised in the church of Jamal Moss, whereas the flip nodded towards Theo Parrish’s rougher moments. Since then, the producer (a synth repair shop worker by day, no less) has sporadically uploaded a series of beguiling straight-to-cassette jams onto his Soundcloud page

‘Let Go 2’ is Terekke’s first transmission in a little while, and it’s a totally enchanting set of ambient techno. For the first time, Terekke’s positioned himself in a similar sphere to GAS, smudging and smearing his techno signifiers beyond recognition. From the buried vocal snippets through to the two minute dub coda, it’s pitch-perfect. Thoroughly seraphic stuff
