When he’s not crafting warped club music as part of 5kinandbone5, Matrixxman is an accomplished beatsmith in the underground rap scene, producing tracks for Le1f, Mykki Blanco, Riff Raff, and Zebra Katz, among others.

In his latest work, Matrixxman has teamed up with vocalist/commentator Dick Van Dick for a pair of transgressive ballroom jams. ‘Rok U Baby’ (or ‘RKUBB’) is a vogue track with a siren-shriek and DVD’s sexualized rap; the whole thing is reminiscent of Zebra Katz’s anthemic ‘Ima Read’. ‘Kanekalon’ adds School Daze samples to the mix for a weave-focused jump-up.
