Behold the new clip from Wraetlic, aka meticulous techno producer Alex Smoke.

‘Rats’ is a monastic affair, all sombre bass and gloomy organs. As promised, the track features vocal contributions from Smoke, and his heavily processed drawl brings to mind Clark’s vocal efforts on Totems Flare (or, at a push, Matthew Dear’s lugubrious baritone). As per usual with Smoke, it’s highly atmospheric, and undeniably effective. The clip’s a bit Windows Media Player, but it’s redeemed by some creepy cameo appearances from smoke.

Wraetlic’s self-titled debut LP is due on February 4 on Convex Industries. [via Resident Advisor]
