UK Funky firebrand Lil Silva has collaborated with singer Banks on a new track, ‘Work’. 

Silva made his name through a fantastic series of instrumental singles (‘Seasons’, ‘Funky Flex’, ‘Night Skanker’) and certainly has his way with a vocal, as 2011′s remix of SBTRKT’s ‘Living Like I Do’ proved. ‘Work’, to our knowledge, is the first time that Silva’s collaborated with a vocalist on an original release [Update: our mistake, he did this on the Sampha-featuring 'On My Own'], and although it’s not going to go down as a classic, it’s clear that there’s a lot of potential: here’s to a fruitful relationship between the pair.
