Most people reading FACT, we guess, will know of Footsie. One half of Dizzee Rascal associates Newham Generals, he’s been a fixture in London’s grime scene for a decade, and his new single ‘Spookfest’ is one of the genre’s biggest recent hits.

What a lot of people probably won’t know about Footsie, however, is that he’s been one of the London underground’s biggest producers – not just a rapper – for that time too; something new instrumental compilation King Original aims to change. FACT TV hung out with Footsie for an afternoon: driving around Newham, smoking in his studio and getting a guided tour of his family house (both his father and brother are involved in reggae; King Original is named after the former’s soundsystem).

P.S. The Newham General name is no joke – you have never seen somebody get stopped in the street more than Footsie in Forest Gate. It was ridiculous.
