The Berghain lynchpin returns.

Minimal techno titan Marcel Dettmann has finally confirmed his eagerly-awaited sophomore effort, and blankly titled Dettmann II, it’s set to provide exactly the kind of sub-aquatic rumbling and robotic pulses we can’t help but love. Reported to contain a mixture of experimental electronics and ambient soundscapes, as well as the usual grinding, spacious techno, Dettmann II appears to be taking a similar similar line to his 2010 debut, and that’s no bad thing at all.

It looks as if the producer has called in some favours for this one also, as the record is touted to include Berlin-based chanteuse and producer Emika on ‘Seduction’, and additional production from Rene Pawlowitz (aka Shed) and Levon Vincent on ‘Aim’ and ‘Outback’.
