One of the first instruments designed specifically for the new MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar has been released, a free polyphonic piano app.

Simple called “Touch Bar Piano”, the app allows you to play 128 different instruments from the very narrow Touch Bar at the top of the new MacBook Pro keyboard. According to the developer, “It does nothing useful on other Macs.”

Apple caused some controversy when it unveiled its new MacBook Pro in October, ditching traditional USB ports for USB-C. The addition of the Touch Bar also seems to be partially responsible for the steep price hike compared to earlier models.

While the Touch Bar Piano is one of the first proper instruments for the new feature, Algoriddim’s Djay Pro DJ software is compatible with it. Check out the app in the video below and download it here. [via Ask.Audio]
