No release date for the album has been confirmed as yet.

Drake fans expecting to hear his More Life album this month will have to wait until next year, as OVO crew member/Drake manager Oliver El-Khatib revealed on OVO Radio last night (December 10).

The “playlist project” – billed as a soundtrack to Drake’s fans’ lives featuring new music from the Toronto artist and other OVO label mates – was announced on the eve of his 30th birthday in October and came accompanied by four new songs, including ‘Fake Love’, ‘Sneakin,’ and Drake’s remix of south London rapper Dave’s track ‘Wanna Know’.

It’s not known exactly when the project will surface, just that it’s slated for an early 2017 release, but with or without More Life, it’s been quite a year for Drake already. Not only did the rapper drop a monumental mega hit in ‘One Dance’, but he held onto his Spotify crown for another year, smashing the record for most streamed artist of 2016 and of all time.

He has busy with other ventures too – in September Drake revealed that he will be opening a strip club in Houston next year, while this weekend saw the arrival of a permanent OVO store in New York. [via The FADER]
