It’s the day of the Royal Wedding, so we thought it would be an appropriate time to upload this FACT mix – a much-anticipated union of a very different kind.

There’s few – if any – forms of dance music as raw, uncompromising and brilliant in its simplicity than classic instrumental grime, and J Sweet and Pele (the production side of the Alias team) represent two of the genre’s greatest ever. Our office doesn’t have enough hands to count the anthems these two have delivered in their time, but here’s four for thought:

Alias – ‘Warriors’

J Sweet – ‘Burst’

Alias – ‘Gladiator’

J Sweet – ‘Kerb’

This month, the two teamed up for a four-track single of blistering grime on Logan Sama’s Earth 616 label, the MarxAlias EP. To celebrate, we commissioned a mix by the pair, and as you might expect, it doesn’t fuck around.

Uncompromising from the start, FACT mix 243 features a ton of new J Sweet & Alias material, as well as adamantium-shelled cuts from Terror Danjah associate P Jam, Butterz’ Royal T and SX, Rude Kid and more. For those eager for an antidote to the craziness inevitably on your television right now, look no further.
