It’s only a matter of weeks before The Netherlands’ Rewire Festival kicks off, and they’ve finally revealed their entire lineup.
To be honest, we were already sold on the festival and their programme was already looking like one of the best we’ve seen this year. There’s Kode9 and Cooly G leading a Hyperdub takeover, Lynchian jazz doom act Bohren & Der Club of Gore, unfathomably talented sax weirdo Colin Stetson, Bedroom Community boss James Holden, ambient/experimental bod Wanda Group and PAN tape-fetishist Valerio Tricoli.
Now the next wave has been announced and they’ve added Simian Mobile Disco, Tri-Angle’s Vessel (who recently released the excellent Punish, Honey), Koreless, Dauwd, Ital, Cabaret Contemporain, Wouter van Veldhoven, Bram Stadhouders’ Cantata, Void of Sound, KRK and Dotlights. Phew – it’s quite the selection of talent, and if you’re around on Saturday November 8 you’ll even be able to check out Ableton workshops, talks hosted by The Wire and film screenings. You can’t stay fairer than that, right?
