Actress is set to play a one-off show at the Barbican in February 2016, together with the London Contemporary Orchestra.

The show has been commissioned and curated by Boiler Room, and sees the orchestra collaborate with Actress on a combination of new music and interpretations of the Werk Discs founder’s back catalogue.

According to the Barbican, Cunningham will use the orchestra as “a new instrument, matching his electronic loops with precise manipulation of their acoustic instruments,” and creating “a heightened kind of chamber music.”

Cunningham will also premiere new material at the gig, which takes place on February 10, 2016. It will be broadcast live on Boiler Room and NTS.

Tickets go on sale to Barbican members at 10am December 10, and general sale at 10am on December 11 at the Barbican website. [via RA]
