Gorillaz have confirmed details of a free album, due out on Christmas Day.

The record is called The Fall, and was recorded while Damon Albarn was on tour in October. It’s mostly been made on an iPad, with “a few non-iPad sounds” added [via Pitchfork].

Albarn confirmed all this on an interview with Australia’s Triple J radio. You can listen to the interview on the station’s website, where Albarn also performs stripped-down takes of Gorillaz songs.
