Back in 2007, Beat Junkies impresario and quondam FACT mixer J. Rocc compiled a wonderful collection of remixes from Cali’s preeminent Beat Konducta.

The Madlib Remixes 1997-2007 was originally released as part of the Stones Throw Podcast #21. As well as collecting familiar material, the set features a slew of material that is still yet to be released. The collection includes a frazzled remix of Madvillainy cut ‘Money Folder’, refixes of Jay-Z and Nas and some reanimated Lootpack material. Lesser known gems include remixes of A.G.’s ‘Take A Ride’ and a couple of J Dilla revisions. Props to Potholes In My Blog for reminding us about this killer collection five years on.

You can listen to a vintage J.Rocc/Madlib live mix from 2004 here.
