She might not be penning records with ex-sparring partner Dean Blunt any more, but that doesn’t mean that Inga Copeland is simply going to disappear into the ether like a hazy dream.

Her low-key May-released mixtape Higher Powers was a mini marvel, and ‘Fit’ continues the theme, finding Copeland uttering wordless chants over a backdrop of dubwise bass and echoing rhythms. It’s as confounding a move as you’d hope from an artist who used to be in a band called Hype Williams, and we can’t wait to hear where Inga Copeland goes next. Update: We’ve also learned that the artist will now go by the simplified moniker copeland.
